  • Very disappointing. I'm actually in the middle of watching the fourth episode. Guess I can just stop in the middle. I'm considering never watching another Fox show again. First Firefly, now Drive. Bah. Screw this. TV is overrated. Time to start reading instead of watching tv.

  • I think the featured writers section can be a real boost in the self-esteem for a new writer. I wrote an article this summer that was featured in the sports section and it has me feeling a bit better about the fact that things may write here are capable of being read by others.

  • I'd expect over the life of the application. $40 for 1.x ... which includes both the framework for developers to implement and a backup utility as well...

  • I'm working on something similar. It won't be "free" but will be a reasonable one time fee for the software, plus any fees for "hosting" should you choose to use it that way. But you'll have your choice ... i should note this is for file backups, not for mail or whatever else.

  • Laptop hard drives aren't meant to really do the hard churning required with dvr and video editing in my opinion. I had a big download going when this type of thing happened to me on my 3 year old powerbook. Laptop hard drives are useless.

  • I don't think we'll see Mail-in Rebates at all. But I do think carriers, based on length of contract, decrease the price of phones based on profit during that contract.

  • I'm still hoping for an unlocked device I can use with CDMA based Verizon. If it works with Verizon, I'll get one the week it comes out. If it doesn't work with Verizon, I won't be getting one. Period. In my area, Verizon is really the only good choice.
